The Bartender series was inspired by Edouard Magnets A Bar at the Folies-Bergere, 1882 and BillyJoels song The Piano Man. Pats interpretation of the song is an artist being inspired by the space theyre in. Every time he stepped into a bar that had a certain atmosphere, like Toms Place in Kingston, he thought of the song and creating art.

Painting drinks, especially those with ice cubes, can be tricky. Changing up the subject keeps Pat excited about painting.
