Black bear in the berries – Even though a bear is what I was after, I was completely shocked because I was actually really really close to this bear without even knowing. As you can see the ferns were really high and lush, so spotting this bear would be quite difficult, luckily she lifted her head (scared the heck out of me) so I lowered my eyes, slowly walked backwards till I was at a very safe distance away. Really this was a dream shot, watching a bear do what a bear does, eating blueberries, pretty amazing to see such a large animal enjoying these tiny little berries, an experience I won’t soon forget.
