Brouage Harbour, France – Original Watercolour by David Gilmore – 365

This silty river flows beside the medieval town of Brouage in the Charante-Maritime area in France. From here Samuel de Champlain made over 20 voyages across the Atlantic to New France in the 16th century. At that time the Bay of Biscay was close to the town.
