Touched by Gold is a luminous sunset study inspired by a quiet moment on the lake as the sky softened into pink clouds and the sun lowered toward the horizon. Warm golden light washes across shoreline rocks edged with green foliage, their forms gently reflected in the water beside them.
Painted in acrylic and finished with subtle applications of gold leaf, the work captures the fleeting quality of evening lightthe way it briefly transforms land, water, and sky. The gold leaf catches light from different angles, enhancing the glow and creating a shifting sense of warmth as the piece is viewed.
Though small in scale, Touched by Gold invites close, contemplative looking. It reflects the artists attention to transient moments in nature, where light, colour, and reflection converge and quietly pass.
